The parents get images that show their family interacting rather than standing in a line smiling at a stranger with a camera. The best family images almost always happen when the kids have forgotten I am there.

I recommend scheduling family sessions early in your trip. If the first few images do not work out, we still have time to reschedule around weather or jet lag. Morning sessions work best for families with young children because the light is soft and the kids are still in a good mood. Afternoon sessions can work too, but I avoid the hours between 1 PM and 4 PM when the sun is harshest and temperatures peak.
